Course Description

As part of our Chinese Business Communication Series, 202 is the second course of the 200 level. In 202, students will learn to more effectively communicate in business activities. By the end of the course students will know up to 200 new vocabulary words and increase their listening abilities. Students in 202 will continue to learn write Chinese Characters and begin to read Chinese Characters without Pinyin.

Instructors

Tingting Liu, Confucius Institute for Business at SUNYTingting Liu 

Tingting Liu is a lecturer for the Department of English at Nanjing University of Finance and Economics (NUFE). Ms. Liu's academic interests include Discourse Analysis, Pragmatics, ESL teaching and English for Specific Purposes. She joined NUFE after getting her Master's degree in Applied Linguistics from the University of Edinburgh. Ms. Liu has coached many students to take part in public speaking and debating competitions at the provincial and national levels. She was honored as 'the top 30 popular teachers of NUFE in 2010." Ms. Liu has published several academic journal articles on Applied Linguistics and Pragmatics and contributed to several textbooks.

The second in our Business Communication series, this course will build on Chinese Business Communication 101. As in 101,  it integrates language study and practice with cultural context and a focus on the business setting.

China Business Communication 103

In 103, Advanced Business Chinese is devised for the training of intermediate learners in language skills for business information exchange. By the end of the course the students will up to 200 new vocabulary words and increase their conversational skills.
